Swatched | Essence Colour & Go - 169 A Hint Of Love

Hiya lovelies!!

I apologise for not posting this earlier in the week but things have been absolutely manic!! I have been dying to try out my new Essence polishes the minute I had them in my hands and on Saturday I wanted to paint my nails and I knew exactly which polish I wanted to try out.

I've been staring at this beauty since my gorgeous mother bought this for me. I love the name of this polish because it sums up Love. If Love was bottled up this is what it would look like!! You will see from my other photos just how beautiful this polish is!

I can honestly say that Essence is my new favourite brand!! I've been waiting for them to come to the UK for so long and I'm so glad it's finally here!! Yay!!! This polish went on like a dream. I used 3 coats to reach full opacity. I love the nice wide brushes, and the fact that this dried really quickly and so smoothly. Usually me and quick drying polishes don't mix but I seemed to get on so well with Essence.

A Hint Of Love is this gorgeous red shade with such a pretty magenta shimmer to it. In all different lights the shimmer shows through but that red, oh that red is just stunning!

I've seen lots of reviews and blog posts from European bloggers saying how good this polish is and how nice the formula is and all I can say is that they weren't lying!! Essence really is as good as they say and for such a low reasonable price what more could you want??

If you haven't tried any of their polishes yet then I suggest you get yourself to your nearest Wilko's store to pick up a bottle or 2!!

Have you tried any of the Essence polishes yet?? What did you think??

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

Watermelon Madness

Hi lovelies!

I finally did some nail art and I was feeling totally fruity when I chose to do today's manicure. Yes, I did some Watermelons! I know there's quite a lot of watermelon mani's floating about but when I picked out my polishes this is what they shouted out at me!! I'm really pleased with how they turned out. This has to be my fave this month.

These were really easy to do. I painted my base colour on first and left it to dry completely, then I added my dark green to the tips and as my accent nail. Once that was dry I mixed my green polish with some white to make it slightly lighter, used a small striper brush to make wavy lines along the dark green.

Once dry I added the white to separate the green and pink and to add dimension to the light green stripes. For the pips I used some black tear drop nail gems and added my top coat to seal it all in! I think it looks fab! I'm really happy with the finished look.

Shortly after taking these photos unfortunately my dear friend, camera, died after almost 10 years. We've seen a lot together and you will be missed. So until I get a new one I'll be using my phone so I apologise if the quality is not as good.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.
For This Manicure I Used:
Barry M Base & Top Coat
Avon Nailwear Pro in Fuchsia Fun
Rimmel Lasting Finish in Block Your Green
Models Own in Snow White
Rio Nail Art Pen in White
Black Tear Drop Nail Gems

Swatched | Avon Colour Trend Suede Effect - Soft Violet

Hiya lovelies! I apologise for the lack of nail art lately but I just haven't been feeling it. I have another swatch to show you today and I have no idea why it has taken me so long to try this polish out.

Today's polish is Avon Colour Trend Suede Effect in Soft Violet. Unfortunately they no longer do these polishes, which is a real shame as they are pretty matte polishes. They look so shimmery and glossy in the bottle but once dry it gives this gorgeous shimmery matte look.

I've used 3 coats but I think you could get away with doing 2 to reach full opacity. I also added a matte topcoat to keep it fresher for longer then I added 2 studs to give it that little something. I'm so glad I found this in my untried's as it's a really pretty polish.

Have you tried any of the suede effect from Avon??
Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

Swatched | Models Own - Pinky Brown

Hello there fellow nail nuts! Hope you're all well, I was supposed to blog last week but didn't seem to have any room to fit it in although I did a couple of mani's and took the photos so I thought over the next couple of weeks I would try and bring you up to speed.....AGAIN!! I promise this wont happen again as I will be finally getting Internet sorted in my new house! Yay!!!!

So today I have a simple swatch of the lush Pinky Brown which is from Models Own Beetle juice Collection. This is a mini I got in a set of 3. I still love the duo/multi chrome polishes and Models Own have some gorgeous ones.

I had this on a couple of weeks ago and tried to capture the beauty of this polish but failed to get any good pictures. Pinky Brown is a lush shimmery pink/coppery/orange with a hint of purple multi - chrome polish and only took me 2 nice even coats to get full opacity.

I love how the colour switches in different light. I keep coming back to this polish and I think I'm going to be getting myself the bigger bottle pretty soon. Whenever I just want something pretty and simple this is the polish I reach for every time. I'm pretty sure I have a couple more from the Beetle juice Collection in my stash that I have yet to try. In fact, I'm going to rummage through my untried's now and see what I can pull out for my next mani!

Have you tried this polish?? What did you think?
Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.
