Nautical But Nice

Hello there my lovely readers! It's the weekend!! Yay!!!
So today I wanted to share with you a manicure I did a couple of weeks ago. I bought some cute Anchor nail decals from Avon and really wanted to try them out so decided on doing a fun Nautical design.

I got my polishes out ready and started painting my base colours. While I was waiting for those to dry I did my usual Twitter surfing to see what was going on in the blogosphere world, then I came across this gorge design by one of my nail girls Sarah.

I mean look at how beautiful it is. This is one talented lady and one of my faves for inspiration. I had to giggle because we both came up with pretty much the same thing using the same polishes and decals!

Ok, so I used striping tape and the colours were the other way around but they are pretty much the same except Sarah's is so much better than mine. I really had fun doing this and can't wait to use these the decals again, they are really great quality.

So what do you think??
Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.
For This Manicure I Used:
Barry M Base & Top Coat
Avon Nailwear Pro+ in Cosmic Blue
Avon Nailwear Pro+ in Real Red
Silver Striping Tape
Avon Anchor Nail Decals
Barry M Base & Top Coat

World Cup 2014 | England

Hiya my fellow nail addicts. I hope you're all good and having a great start to the week. I've had a busy weekend and couldn't post my giveaway winner until earlier today. You can check out the winner on the post below.

I know everyone has been getting into the World Cup 2014 spirit and I can honestly say we've had nothing but football on in our house. I haven't minded at all because I do enjoy the World Cup matches and as we all know there's been lots of ups and downs.

I know England are out and will play their last match tonight but I wanted to show my support and just did this simple manicure to hopefully bring them a bit of luck with tonight's match. I really like how this turned out and all the girls in work have been complimenting me.

I used my Nails Inc Metallic Freebie from a while back, you can read the post here. Then my Pearly Avon polish called star for the accents and after that had completely dried I freehanded my crosses using Rimmel's Precious Stones in Ruby Crush and finished it all off with a top coat.

They're really simple but so pretty don't you think?? I want to do more team nails so keep an eye out for those over the next couple of weeks. Anywho, I hope you like these and if you have any requests or questions please feel free to leave me any comments below. I love hearing from you.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.
 For This Manicure I Used:
Avon Peeling & Brittleness Treatment
Nails Inc Limited Edition in Luminous Red Metallic
Avon Nailwear Pro in Star

Don't Worry, BEE Happy

Howdy Doody nail nutty buddies!!

Another Spring manicure for you today and I think that should be us caught up. I decided I didn't want to bombard you with too many crappy pictures and manicures so I scrapped some that weren't blog worthy.

I had to show you this cute mani though! I had this on for about a week. I started off painting my nails with 3 coats of Avon Nailwear Pro+ in Inspire and then I just added the dots to 3 of my fingers. I felt that something was missing so I took out my fan brush and used it to paint the black stripey thingymabobs onto my nails and after I was finished I realised that this manicure looked very Bee like.

How cute is it?? I really liked this I didn't want to take it off. I was tempted to add some eyes but I didn't want to ruin the manicure. I think this is very Spring/Summer appropriate and how lush is the yellow polish?? I really hope you like this manicure.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.
 For This Manicure I Used:
Avon Peeling & Brittleness Treatment
Avon Nailwear Pro+ in Inspire
Models Own in Black Magic
Dotting Tool & Fan Brush
Barry M 2in1 Base & Top Coat

Simple Red & Black

Hello there my nail nutty buddies!! It's Friday! Yay!!! I hope you've all got a good weekend planned. I have another one of my Spring manicures for you today.

Today's mani is just a simple black and red one. I really like this red, it's go a slight orange undertone to it which I really like. Please excuse the state of the nails and cuticles. I promise you they are in much better shape now! I didn't clean up very well either but can we just admire the mani for a moment?!

I used 2 coats of Avon Nailwear Pro+ in Make My Day, once that was dry I used my Models Own nail art pen in Black to do the corners of my nails. Then I added a nail gem sticker I found in my box of tricks and popped it onto my thumbs just to give it that little something extra. I quite like how this turned out. Even though it's simple it still looks pretty. There you have it lovelies, another Imperfect manicure.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.
 For This Manicure I Used:

Spring Dotticure

Good Morning there my fellow lovely nail addicts. Hope you're all having a great weekend. The next few posts that I shall be posting will be mani's that I did in the spring but I just didn't have the time to post them at the time so I'm currently playing catch up and putting my recent mani's up at the same time.

The first mani I want to share with you from my Spring manicures is this really pretty dotticure that I did. Apart from the little smudges I somehow managed to do I really liked how this came out. I love the colour. Please excuse my poorly dry and sore looking cuticles and fingers.

I started off painting 2 coats of Avon Nailwear Pro+ in Serene and Models Own in Snow White for the accent and then I sort of drew a blank, so I grabbed my trusty dotting tool and decided on doing a dotticure. You can't go wrong with it, it's something that always looks cute. Well there you have it my lovelies another imperfect manicure.

As always feel free to leave me any comments or requests you may have. You know I love hearing from you guys. I appreciate and read every single comment.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing

Polish Party: Splatter Manicure

Well, hello there my lovelies. I can't believe May is over already!! I'm finally taking part in a Polish Party Challenge and boy have I missed doing these.

This months theme was a Splatter Manicure. Now if you're an avid reader of my blog then you will know that I did a bit of Splatter nail art way back in October for our Halloween themed Polish Party Challenge manicure. If not you can see it here.

I'm really excited to be finally taking part this month. So here's what I came up with this month. I wanted something bright and summery and nothing says bright and summery to me more than NEON polishes!! Yes, I got the NEONS out again!!! Remember my last NEON manicure?! This time I thought it would look cool as a splatter manicure.

Unfortunately I wasn't in the nail painting zone and it just went a little wrong. Every nail I did, I kept thinking 'this is just going from bad to worse' and 'could I re-do this?!' Now unfortunately for me, I didn't have time to re-do my manicure so, what you see is what you get.

This really isn't the best, and I ended up with nail polish ALL over my face and hands! Lol, I have no idea how I managed it but I did. I impress myself with these things at times! Anyway, I hope you still like it all the same.
 For This Manicure I Used:
Avon Gold Strength Treatment
Models Own in Snow White
Models Own in Hot Pink
Models Own in Luis Lemon
Models Own in Toxic Apple
Models Own in Fluro' Orange
Seche Vite Top Coat
