Polish Party: January Blues

Hello there my wonderful readers! I hope you're not missing me too much! I'm really sorry for the lack of posts lately but I've been super busy and if I'm honest since ALL my nails broke I've lost a lot of my Nailspiration, which saddens me but it has done my nails good not to have polish on them all the time. Any how, it's that time of the month again, yep, it's Polish Party Time!!!

This month we decided on the theme January Blues which is supposed to represent the depressed feeling January leaves you in. I really didn't know what I was going to do so I chose a few blue nail polishes and other nail bits and pieces that I had in blue and just ran with what came up. I started off painting my base colours using Models Own Bloo, Bloo and Med Blue. I used 3 coats for Med Blue and 2 for Bloo Bloo.

While my pinky and index fingers were still tacky I added the loose glitter and stuck on the gems and sealed it all in with my Seche Vite. And, if I do say so myself I quite like this mani and how it turned out. Although using the loose glitter for my index finger and pinky was a bit messy and I forgot to put some tissue or paper down and my table is now covered in loose blue glitter......Ooooops!! Lesson learnt for next time! It's not an amazing mani that makes you 'WOW' but it's not bad considering I seem to have lost my nail mojo! I hope you guys like it.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.
For This Manicure I Used:
OPI Nail Envy
Models Own in Med Blue
Models Own in Bloo Bloo
Blue Loose Nail Glitter
8x Round Blue Nail Gems
2x Blue Flower Nail Gems
Seche Vite Top Coat

17 Supreme Shine | Bared

Good Morning my fellow nail addicts! Hope you've all had a fab weekend. Mine has been the usual mental one with the little one going nuts for some reason but I did managed to get my nails painted last night when he finally went to bed! I've just got a simple post and mani for you today so I hope you like it!

This has to be one of my favourite nude shades of all time. I wanted something classy with a hint of shimmer and this polish has it all! It's 17 Supreme Shine in Bared and for £3.99 you can't go wrong with this.

In this photo you can see that the polish has a hint of peach to it which makes this even more prettier than it already is. I used 3 coats of this for full coverage and opacity. I like the fact that the brush is wide so that painting your nails is quick because you can do it in a couple of strokes. You can see the subtle silver shimmer it has to it. I like the fact that with a good top coat this polish can last a good week before any chips.

There you have it my lovelies, my mani for the week.
Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

Polish Party: Black & White

Morning lovelies, I've got another late post for you guys and it's my Polish Party post. I was looking forward to doing this for so long. The theme this month was black and white and I was struggling for ideas so I decided to write down things that were black and white and I went from there. I wanted to do something that was cute and fun but that was different and I think I nailed it! Here's my design.

That's right I chose a tux and dress combo!! I'm super proud of this design and I think it just looks fab. This managed to stay on for almost a week. It's turned out really good considering I have super short nubblins. I can't wait for my nails to grow so I can paint them again properly. This was a pretty easy design to do.

I started off by painting my base colours 3 white and my 2 accents in black (I did these 2 like I was doing a reverse manicure). After they had dried completely I added the black waistcoats and some tiny bow nail gems as bow ties then finished my Tux's off with some buttons. Once my black base colour was dry I freehanded a white collar on my dresses and finished them off with some buttons.

I really like this mani although it was hard to do on my poor little nubs. I hope you guys also enjoyed seeing this rather late mani!

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.
For This Manicure I Used:
Collection 2in1 Base Coat & Ridge Filler
Models Own in Black Magic
Models Own in Snow White

12 Days Of Christmas Nail Art Challenge | day 12 - Freestyle Chrsitmas Mani

Hello my lovely nail addicts!! It's me again, I've decided to get 2 posts out for you today so I can give myself chance to catch up! So the final day of the 12 Days Of Christmas Nail Art Challenge was a freestyle and I knew straight away what I wanted to do. As my last attempt didn't go very well I spent a bit more time in choosing the right colours for this mani.

And boy did it pay off! This turned out so well that I ended up wearing this for about a week and a bit! Everyone in work loved this design and I even had a few customers ask where I got them done. Lol. When my niece saw these she of course asked me to do them on her nails too which I happily went with and did!

It wasn't too difficult to do either. I used 2 coats of Models Own in Bloo Bloo as a base colour on my nails apart from the accents, then I put a coat of Models Own in Jack Frost over the top. For the accents I used Models Own in Nude Beige as a base colour, then used SEVENTEEN mini in Risky Red for the breast of my Robins and finally added the eyes and beaks using my Rio nail art pen in White and my Model Own nail art pen in Black.

There you have it lovelies, those were all my Christmas manis I did. This is such a fun a cute mani don't you think??

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge | Day 11 - Christmas Trees

Hello there my lovelies!!! I understand that my next couple of posts are a little on the late side (a few weeks late, oops) but I still want to share them with you all. Day 11 to the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge was Christmas Trees and I have to admit I had this amazing idea. So I tried to do on my nails.....wanna see how it turned out??

Yeah, it really was a bit of a fail! Just everything about it went wrong. The colours I chose looked fab in my head but some how it just didn't work! But hey, this is the Imperfect 10n after all. I'm bound to get a lot of things wrong and in this case everything went wrong! Lol, needless to say that this mani didn't stay on very long!! I used 2 coats of Barry M's 2012 Christmas LE polish as my base colour then tried to do a reverse manicure using NYC Highline Green with 2 accent trees, using nail gems for the baubles.

Well, my lovelies there you have a complete fail from me! Lol.
Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

I'm still here......

Hey lovelies! I hope you're all well. Yes, I am still alive and I know I'm a little behind on some of my blog posts but I will try and catch up over the weekend! Life has just been super busy and it's finally slowing down so things should go back to normal soon! I know I've been such a bad blogger lately and I've really missed it! I've had Internet issues, work, Christmas and a few other things making my blogging life difficult.

What I've decided to do is instead of putting pressure on myself to get a few blog posts and manicures done over the course of a week I will post once a week until I get myself back where I want to be and have my life organised.

All my nails broke too over Christmas so I've had super short nasty looking nails and I just haven't wanted to paint them. I will be posting my last 2 days of the 12 Days of Christmas challenge I took part in over Christmas. My Internet decided it wanted to take a break from me so I was unable to post them and a few others but like I said I will do some catching up over the course of the weekend.

I'm really sorry for being such a bad blogger but I'm back and I'm here and I will try and be better! I hope you've all had an amazing Christmas and New Year though!

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.
