Polish Party: Disney

Hey there my beautiful readers! I hope you've all had a fab November, can you believe Christmas is just around the corner??!! Today I have another Polish Party themed post and we decided to go with Disney as our theme this month. I'm such a MA-HOO-SIVE Disney fan so you can imagine my excitement when we decided on this months theme.

I really had no clue where to start, I had so many amazing ideas. I decided there was only one way for me to decide what I was going to choose, and that was to put Disney movie titles into a bag and randomly pick one out.

And I chose.......

Finding Nemo!!! I absolutely LOVE this movie. I didn't want to go overboard with the nail art so I decided to keep it simple but fun. There are just so many characters to choose from but I had to go with Marlin and of course Dory!!

I painted my index and ring fingers in Avon Nailwear Pro in Orange Creamsicle I used my Rio Nail art pen in white and Models Own nail art pen in black to finish off Marlin's stripes and then painted my middle and pinky fingers in Front Cover nail polish in Cadet Blue. I finished off Dory with a striper with my Models Own nail art pen in black and a striper brush with Avon Nailwear Pro+ in Inspire

I wanted something totally different for my thumb and went with a seagull, you know the ones.....'Mine, mine, mine'!!! It's not perfect but it's totally cute. I think it adds that little something to this manicure.

I had so much fun doing this mani and I can't wait to see what the other Polish Party ladies come up with. I'm excited for next month's theme too!!

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

Swatched | Models Own - Tickled Pink

Hello my lovelies! I hope you're all having a fab week. So today I have a simple Pink manicure to show you. I used Models Own Tickled Pink, which I bought a while ago and had completely forgotten how much I love this polish.

It's this gorgeous pink shade with lots of silver shimmer. It's so girly and pretty and I can't believe I forgot about this stunning polish. I used 2 coats of this for a nice even finish. I also teamed it up with an accent of Northern Lights.

I absolutely love these 2 polishes together, they look so pretty. I used 3 coats of Northern Lights to make sure that it's completely opaque. I used Seche Vite top coat over this manicure to give it that extra glossy finish. If you don't have this polish I suggest you get some, you'll love it.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

Easy Reverse Manicure Tutorial

Hello again my lovelies, today I have the tutorial to my easy reverse manicure I did on Saturday. It's such a pretty and simple manicure to do and if you haven't tried it out you should. I've completely fallen in love with this and can't wait to try it again.

 So shall we get started?!

Top Coat and Base Coat of your choice
2 nail polishes of your choice (I used Uptown Glamour & New York Noir)
5 Hole Reinforcement Stickers (halved for both hands)

1. Paint 2 coats of Uptown Glamour or your first polish choice on your nails and leave it to completely dry.

2. Next add the hole reinforcement stickers to each nail roughly where your half moon is on your natural nail.

3. Now paint a nice even thick coat of New York Noir or your second polish choice over the top of the sticker covering your base polish.

Now this is the tricky part. You can paint each nail or all of them, I like to paint them all so that they are a little dry for removing the stickers. If you peel the stickers of while the polish is still wet you run the risk of it seeping but if you peel it off when the polish is too dry you run the risk of peeling the polish off again.

4. I like painting all my nails then once I've finished painting the last one I like to peel the stickers off using tweezers carefully so I don't ruin the design.

Et Voila, finish your design with some top coat and your now good to go. How pretty is the finished look??

I really hope you like this tutorial and it was easy to follow. I can't wait to see if any of you guys try it, if you do please comment or leave me a link so I can have a look.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

Reverse Manicure

Happy Saturday my lovely readers. So I've been wanting to try and do a reverse manicure AKA half moon manicure for such a long time I thought today is the day to try it out. So I did. I thought this was actually going to be a lot harder than it actually was. In fact it's super easy to do.

I have a tutorial for this manicure that I will post on Monday for you guys so that you can try this out if you haven't already. I'm really pleased with how this turned out. I used 2 of the Nails Inc. polishes I got free with Glamour magazine. I used Uptown Glamour as my base colour then painted New York Noir over the top.

I love how this looks, it's not perfect but with a bit of practise I think this will look so much better. I will definitely be trying this mani again and the colour combinations are endless. I can't stop looking at it. I've already had a few compliments already.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing

Swatched | Collection - Gothic Glam Collection

Hello again my beauties! Today I've got some lush polishes and swatches I want to share with you. I have the Gothic Glam collection from Collection for you today. I've been lusting after these since they came out just before Halloween and every time I was in Boots or Superdrug I kept on picking them up and putting them back.

I think my dear mother seemed to pick up on the fact that I have been wanting these for a while because she came home a couple of weeks again with these for me!! How amazing is she?? I shrieked with joy when she handed these over to me and I was so excited I didn't know which one I wanted to try first. These retail at £3.19 each which is a great price for these great polishes.

Let me make a start with Dramatic. This is such a gorgeous shade for the Autumn, it's a deep red shade with added bronze pigment. It has such a pretty shimmer to it when you see it in the light. The formula is easy to apply and I love the wide brushes, they make it easier to apply.

Next up is Phantom. How gorgeous is this polish?? I have to say I think this is my favourite one out of the collection. This is a really vivid purple shade and changes when the light catches it. Isn't it just so pretty??

Next I have Deadly for you guys. This is another pretty polish, it's deliciously dark. It has the intensity of a black polish but it's counteracted with the golden shimmer to give it this lush colour.

Lastly I have Poison for you, I'm in love with this polish too. In fact I'm in love with them all!! This is the most beautiful blue I have seen in a while and it has that pretty shimmer to it as well and I think this is probably now my favourite after seeing it again! Lol. I don't think it's too dark either and it's definitely a great shade to wear during the winter.

I used 2 coats for all the polishes, they apply really nice and smoothly. What do you think of Collection's new, ermmmmmm, collection?? I know I'll be trying more of their polishes in the near future.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

Jacava Toffee Apple and OPI Shatter

Good morning beautiful readers! On Sunday I posted about my Jacava prize and how much I love this polish. Well after a couple days of wearing it on it's own I decided to make it a little fresher by adding some OPI shatter polish in Silver.

I have to say not only am I pleased at how this has turned out but just how pretty this looks. I wanted to add some glitter but didn't seem to have anything that fitted in with what I wanted so I chose my OPI shatter that I bought back in September. I can honestly admit this is my first time using a shatter polish and I really like the look.

It's definitely a polish I can use for 'lazy nail art' and it wont be the last time I'll be getting this pretty shatter polish out. I really like this mani, it's so simple and pretty. I used tape to get it even looking. The great thing with the shatter polish is that it dries really quick so I didn't have to try and judge when to take the tape off.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.
For This Manicure I Used:
OPI Original Nail Envy
Jacava London in Toffee Apple
OPI Shatter in Silver

Jacava Nail Polish Winner

Well hello my lovely nail ladies! Hope you're all well and having a good weekend. So I was lucky enough to win another Twitter giveaway. This time I won a Jacava London nail polish in the shade Toffee Apple.

The postman delivered my prize yesterday and I just couldn't wait to try it. I've been dying to try a Jacava polish especially after seeing so many reviews and how much people love it. Jacava say this polish is non-toxic and 8-free which means it has no Formaldehyde, Camphor, Toluene, DBP, Cellophane, Phthalates or Animal Ingredients. There's no animal testing either. There's even 22 carat gold print which just adds to the luxury.

How gorgeous is Toffee Apple?? It makes me want to have a toffee apple every time I look down at my nails. It's the perfect shade for Autumn and I'm absolutely in LOVE with this polish. It goes on so smooth and the formula is just amazing. It dries glossy and wouldn't really need a top coat but I added some Seche Vite to make it even glossier. These amazing polishes retail at £14.50 which may seem a bit pricey but is worth it since it's simply luxurious and non-toxic. Lets just bask in the beauty of this polish.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

NOTD: Children In Need

Good Morning my lovelies! Can you believe Friday is upon us yet again which means it's the start of another great weekend. Tonight is Children In Need night and for as long as I can remember I have always taken part and donated or done some fund raising. This year I have only been able to donate which you can also do here.

For those of you that don't know what Children In Need is, it's a charity that has raised over £600 million pounds since it first started. The money raised is used to help disabled and under privileged children living here in the UK. As a lot of you know we're all quick to help those in need in 3rd world countries that need that help but we forget about those in our own back garden that also need help. Britain still has families living in poverty and we forget about that because I think a lot of us have the mind set if we ignore it, it will go away but unfortunately it doesn't.

I didn't really understand the charity until I had my own baby and since having him you understand that no child should have to suffer or go without the help and support that they deserve. One of the highlights is the annual telethon which is televised on the BBC and is always great fun to watch and you get to see where your donations go.

The Children In Need mascot is of course Pudsey The Bear. So, shall we take a look at my nails??

These didn't turn out exactly how I had planned and they're not the best but I really didn't want to re-do them (feeling too lazy) and I think I went a bit dotty crazy! Lol, overall I like them and I think I should have used the white base on my ring finger to bring the yellow out a little more. I only did 2 coats of this lush Barry M yellow (It's Lemon Ice Cream) and I feel like it's not quite bright enough. I used my dotting tool and my NYC in a New York Minute Polishes for the dots.

This manicure was also the last for 2 of my polishes, NYC in Lexington Yellow & 17 Fast Finish in Risky Red. They are now in polish heaven and I hope they enjoyed the many mani's have I have done with them. It was a sad moment saying goodbye. Lol, I bought some cute Pudsey Nail stickers from E-Bay and absolutely love them, they look so cute on. It's such a shame my accent nail isn't as bright. My hands are hideously dry too, someone pass me my hand cream......I hope you like my Children In Need mani and I can't wait to see if anyone else has done some Pudsey nail art.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

Remembrance Day Mani

Good Evening again my lovely readers! I hope you've all had a fab weekend. Mine was super busy but I did manage to get myself a Remembrance Day mani done. This is something that will always be close to me as my brother is in the Forces and my dad and granddad both were years ago. I think a lot of people forget what a good job our boys and girls are doing, I've also noticed that not many people are even wearing poppies any more which does sadden me a little.
If it wasn't for these guys we wouldn't be where we are today and we wouldn't have so many stories to listen to. For those that have lost their lives fighting for us and that have left families behind my heart is with you and I wont forget what a good job you've all been doing.

I wanted to show my support with my mani and here's what I did.....

I kept it really simple with choosing this gorgeous red shade from A-England. If you haven't heard of them then I suggest you take a look here Pronto!! They may seem a little on the pricey side at £9 but they are AMAZING! And worth every penny. This is Perceval and boy isn't he a stunner! It's not only this gorgeous red but it has a slight shimmer to it and it applied beautifully without streaks and if you're super careful this is easily a one coater. I have used 2 coats for this mani.

For me it's the perfect poppy red.
I have teamed it with an accent nail on my ring finger using Models Own in Snow White and then getting out my trusty dotting tool and using Perceval to make my little poppies then using my Rio Nail Art Pen in Green I added the leaves and added a black dot in the middle of my poppies with my Models Own Nail Art Pen.

Perceval is such a beautiful shade and the great thing is they don't stain your nails after you've removed it! That's my mani for today and I hope you like it.
Until Next Time, Keep Polishing
For This Manicure I Used:
OPI Nail Envy Original
A-England in Perceval
Models Own in Snow White
Rio Nail Art Pen in Green
Models Own Nail Art Pen in Black

Neon Water Marble Mani

Good morning lovelies! Hope you're having a fantastic weekend, I got fed up of all this dull rainy weather we've been having lately so I decided to cheer myself up and do a bright mani, I also wanted to have yet another go of doing some water marbling because I fail at them!! Here's what I came up with......

I originally tried to do a whole water marble mani but my ring and middle fingers were the only ones that didn't fail miserably, Lol. So I decided to keep those as an accent and I have to admit it looks really cute.

Please excuse the clean up on my accent nails I went a little too mad! I also put on a couple of red square gems which I think add that little something to this mani. I used 1 coat of Models Own in Snow White as a base then popped on 2 coats of the neon shades.

I still need to practise my water marbling technique but hey, at least this isn't a total fail! Lol. The neon shades I used are all Models Own. They're the old neon shades they had out before changing them to the Ice Neon Collection shades.

Here's a bottle shot of the polishes I used. These are definitely my cheer me up polishes. What do you think of today's mani? Have you got any go to cheer me up polishes? I hope you all like this mani and have a fab weekend.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.
For This Manicure I Used:
OPI Nail Envy Original
Models Own in Snow White
Models Own in Luis Lemon
Models Own in Toxic Apple
Models Own in Fluro' Orange
Seche Vite Top Coat
4x Red Square Nail Gems
