My August Haul

Well hello lovelies! For today's post I thought I would share with you all the goodies I bought during August. There's a lot more than I thought but don't worry, this post wont be too long! Lol.

I'll make a start with all my lovely goodies I got from Boots. I have been eyeing up the Little Mix nails and wraps since they came out and decided to treat myself to 2 packs. I can't wait to give these a try they cost £6. I also bought my first ever Sinful Colors polish in Call You Later an for £1.99 I couldn't say no. Lastly from Boots I treated myself to OPI Nail Envy with my points. This costs £18.95 and I've been dying to try this as my nails need something to get them back into good condition so looking forward to trying this.

Next up I bought this Konad stamping plate in M29 which I have been wanting to buy for months now and I finally found it on E-Bay for £3.60 which is a bargain since these cost £6 each. I can't wait to give this a try and see what mani's I can come up with.

These goodies are from having a little walk into Superdrug which was a BIG mistake, Lol! I came out with all these lovely polishes. There's MUA Mystical Glitters in Seahorse & Starfish these were only £2.50, Rimmel Cocktail Colours in Baby Bellini this was £3.99, MUA Nail polishes in Frozen Yoghurt, Bold Blue & Amaretto Crush these were a bargain £1 each and lastly Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Key Lime & Barry M Confetti effect in Bubblegum which were on offer 2 for £6.

Lastly I took myself for a walk into our market and you can usually find some good bargains and these were mine! I managed to pick up 2 Sinful Colors in Irish Green & Serena & Chloe, 2 Rimmel 60 Seconds in Pompous & Shocker, This pretty W7 polish called Moonlight and my bargain find was this OPI shatter top coat in Silver for £1.50!

There you have it my lovelies, I can't wait to give these a try and if you'd like to have a close up look and swatch of any of these please let me know and I shall sort that for you.

Hedy's Ma.Nish.Ma Holographic Polishes Part 2

Howdy doody dudes!!

So, I have part 2 of my Hedy's polishes and I've been having a little play. In my honest opinion I really think these look better as a top coat. I also found the site that I got these guys from for you too. Shall we make a start then??

I'll start with Beyond Opal for you today, and as you can see I would say this is definitely more like a duo chrome than a holo polish but it's still so pretty and over the black you can see the colour shifts from green to purple.

I really like this polish and looks great as a top coat than alone. I can't wait to see what sort of combinations I can come up with these polishes.

Next up is the lush Blaster, instead of using black polish this time I went for a navy polish to see if it made much difference but as you can see, this looks good even over a navy polish.

I really prefer this as a top coat too as you can see the colours more in this, I mean you can see the shifts from purple to pink to blue and it's just simply divine.

Next up is Space Silver and as you can see it doesn't really make much difference over the navy polish I used as a base colour. It's still really pretty and does look slightly holographic.

I really like this alone and over another polish. It's so pretty and sparkly. This is kind of bordering as my favourite out of the 4 polishes.

Last but not least is Way Out Fuscia (I really don't like the way it's spelt!) I absolutely LOVE this over the black polish, how lush does it look?? Now I think these are definitely more of a duo chrome which I still LOVE!!

Can you see the blues, pinks and purples in the colour shift! I'm so glad the sun was shining when I took these photos. It's just so pretty.
I used one coat of the Hedy's Ma.Nish.Ma polishes over the top of 2 coats of the dark base coats. I really hope you've enjoyed reading my little 2 part posts.

Hedy's Ma.Nish.Ma Holographic Polishes Part 1

Hello there my lovelies!

Hope you're all well and having a good start to the week. Today I have some Holo polishes to show you. Now, I bought these a while ago but I can't quite remember which site it was but they only cost 99p which is an absolute bargain. I'd never heard of the brand before but thought they looked pretty, so naturally my curiosity got the better of me and I had to buy them.

There's 4 of them so what I thought I would do instead of writing a REEEEEEEALLY long post with loads of photos I would break it up and do this in 2 parts, So please bare with me as I really don't mean to bore you all to death! Lol. Let's dive straight in shall we?

This is Space Silver and as you can see it's quite a dense glitter polish and it's scattered with holographic glitter. I used 3 coats of this, it is quite pretty but I don't think I would class this as a holo polish. I will do some experimenting with these polishes though and see if I can bring out the 'holo' within.

I don't think my photos make this polish look very special but it really is pretty and for 99p I can't complain. I can't wait to have a play and show you all. I still really like this.

Next up is Way Out Fuscia (Their spelling, not mine) and this doesn't look like anything special either on it's own and again, this isn't really a holographic polish either and I had to do 3 coats to get full opacity and coverage.

It was really cloudy the day I took these so had to do them inside which is a real shame as my photos don't capture the blue undertones it has to it.

I have Beyond Opal for you next and again, I wouldn't really put this in the Holographic category either but I would class it more as a duo chrome. I used 3 coats of this and there's still some Visible Nail Line.

This is quite pretty alone though, you can see the green in this but I think this would look great as a top coat over a dark polish.

And lastly I have Blaster for you. This is really pretty alone too. I used 3 coats for this and is another duo chrome rather than a holographic.

Again, there's VNL, Blaster is such a lush purple which has pink undertones to it and this would look lush over a dark polish too.

Well, there you have it, that's my first part done. I really hope you like this and there's more Imperfect mani's on the way.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing!

NOTD: Blue Escape

Hello there my lovely readers!

Hope you've all been having a great weekend. Mine, as usual is busy but I can't complain. So, I have another NOTD to show you today, I had this on last week. I wasn't going to post it on the blog since I had already put it on Instagram, Since not all of you follow me on there I wanted to share it with you.

How pretty is this blue?? It has a slight shimmer to it aswell. I really like Avon's nail polishes as they are really easy to apply and most only need 2 coats for full coverage. They dry fairly quickly and the application is smooth. They retail at £6 which is fairly reasonable for a good polish.

I didn't put a top coat on this because as you can see it dries quite glossy and has this pretty shine to it. The colour is Blue Escape and really is so pretty. I had this colour on for a day or so then I wanted to do something with it, it reminded me of the sky so I wanted to do something along those lines.

This was the finished mani, I really like how this turned out although originally I had a sun on my pointer but it just didn't seem right so I had to re-do that nail and decided on keeping it plain so you could see the blue polish. I sponged on the clouds and used a nail art pen for the birds. And lastly I added a top coat and it made this mani look really shiney.

Well my lovelies, another Imperfect mani for you.
Until Next Time, Keep Polishing
For This Manicure I Used:
Collection 2in1 Base Coat & Ridge Filler
Avon Nailwear Pro+ in Blue Escape
Rio Nail Art Pen in Black
Rio Nail Art Pen in White

NOTD: Hot Zebra

Hello there my beautiful readers!

The weekend is almost here. Yay!! So, I have a simple NOTD to show you today and I really like how this one turned out. So let me show you my mani.

How cute is this?? I LOVE the colour and I finally had a stamping success! This took me about 3 hours to do. I left the polish to dry a good hour between coats and then I took my time doing the clean up and stamping and this was the end result! So it's still not perfect but I'm hoping I am getting better.

As you can see I have a few air bubbles which I only got after applying my Top Coat which I had to get rid of because it unfortunately died a death but I have since replaced it, with FINALLY getting to open my Seche Vite. Anyhoo apart from that I still like this mani A LOT!! I used 2 coats of Avon's Viva pink then used my Cheeky Stamping Plate B and a black polish to get the Zebra stripes.

And there you have it, another Imperfect mani.

Until Next time, Keep Polishing

For This Manicure I Used:

Converse Shoes

Hello there lovely readers!

I have another mani to show you today and this one didn't turn out as well as I'd like but this is The IMPERFECT 10 after all! Let's take a peek.

Unfortunately my nubblins seem to be just too short to try some nail art so I was a bit disappointed with how these look AND I'm still learning how to get the whole clean up balance right with my nails but I think I got a little carried away with these, Lol.

I chose to use 4 of my Models Own Ice Cream Sundae box set because I think these pastel colours are perfect for the summer, and the set had a good variety in shades to use.

Here's a bottle shot of the polishes I used.

I really like this set and Models Own polishes are definitely one of my favourite brands because they're affordable and the formula is really nice and easy to apply. I had a slightly shaky hand too so a lot of the smaller details are a bit shaky.

Well guys, there you go another imperfect mani for you all to enjoy.
 Until Next Time, Keep Polishing
For This Manicure I Used:
Models Own in Beths Blue
Models Own in Lemon Meringue
Models Own in Jade Stone
Models Own in Fuzzy Peach
Rio Nail Art Pen in Black

Holo Leopard Print

Happy Monday beautiful readers!

I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was pretty busy, but the start of another week is finally here. So today I have another Leopard Print mani for you to look at. What can I say?! I'm loving them at the moment, anyhoo, let's take a little look shall we?

I absolutely LOVE this mani and I'm so pleased with how this turned out, the only thing that I kinda messed up was my pinky, I somehow manage to smudge the black. Apart from that little mishap I really like this. The GOSH holo polish is one of my faves and this bottle took me MONTHS to get my hands on!!

I think the blue and holo polishes really compliment each other well. How beautiful is this holo polish?! I used 2 coats of GOSH Holographic Hero and 2 coats of Barry M Gelly Hi shine Nail Paint in Blueberry then I used my dotting tool to add the dots and my Rio nail art pen in Black to add the outlines.

There you have it lovelies, another Imperfect mani for you all to enjoy.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing

NOTD: MUA Mystical Glitter Nails - Mermaid

Hello there my beautiful readers!!

The weekend is finally here and I hope you've all got something great planned. Today I have just a simple Nail Of The Day to show you today. This is one of my favourite polishes, So shall we have a little look?

Today I have to show you this lush polish from MUA. It's one of their Mystical Glitter Nails polishes and this one is in Mermaid and I absolutely LOVE this!! It retails at £2.50 which is really cheap and the application is so smooth and dries fairly quickly.

Please excuse the slightly messy cuticles but I've only just discovered that you're supposed to leave a little gap between nail and cuticle so I'm trying to get the hang of it, Lol. I used 3 coats of this and I just love the colour of this polish, it really does remind me of being in the sea.

Gold Leopard Print

Hello to my lovely readers!

I hope you're all having a fab week so far!! I have another mani for you today but this time it's a really pretty Gold Leopard Print I've been rocking! I LOVE a bit of Leopard Print, I don't think you can go wrong with it and I really like that you can really experiment with it. So, Shall we take a look at my little creation?

This one really didn't turn out how I would have liked but it still looks cute. I used Barry M foil effect polish in Gold as my base colour and for my accent nail I used China Glaze in Fois Gras. I really like how these 2 colours look together. I used 2 coats of my base colours and let them dry completely before using my dotting tool to add the random dots in the opposite colours on my nails.

Then I added the rest using my Rio nail art pen in black. Some of it looks a little smudged and my nails really don't look the best but slowly but surely I will get them looking great. As you can see I'm still not the best with my nail art but that's the fun part of the journey isn't it? to see if I actually get any better! Lol! Here's hoping!

Well, I shall leave it there for now my lovelies that's another Imperfect mani done,
